James L’Etoile Presentation
What Authors Need to Know About What Really Happens in Prison
11/18/26 | 7 PM | Zoom
Capturing authentic details in your manuscript can be daunting, especially when the subject matter is literally locked behind bars. Award winning author James L’Etoile takes you inside the workings of the prison world and gives you the keys to infuse your writing with real life examples. Twenty-nine years behind bars informs his novels, short stories and screenplays. He is a former associate warden in a maximum-security prison, a hostage negotiator and director of California’s state parole. His novels have been shortlisted or awarded the Lefty, Anthony, Silver Falchion, Macavity and Public Safety Writers Award. Illusion of Truth and Darkness Falls are his most recent novels. James also serves as Exec. VP of Mystery Writers of America. More info at jamesletoile.com.
